Nomination Guidelines

“Nominations” are how we create a tag set, which allows us to run AO3’s automatic matching for assignments. You can nominate up to 6 fandoms with 10 relationships each. All relationship tags must be in the format Character 1/Character 2 (or 1/2/3 etc), indicating a romantic or sexual relationship.

Gen or platonic relationships are outside the scope of this exchange.

Please avoid piping and diacritics where possible.

Crossovers:
Crossovers go into the designated "Crossover Fandom." The format must be "Character A (fandom 1)/Character B (fandom 2). Ex: "Sherlock Holmes (BBC Sherlock)/Ash Ketchum (Pokemon)"

Original Work:
Divide original work nominations under separate “fandoms” according to relationship category.

• Original M/M - includes M/M/M+
  
• Original M/F - includes all mixed-gender ships, like M/M/F, F/F/M, etc.
  
• Original F/F - includes F/F/F+
  
• Original Other/Any - for relationships that don’t fit under the previous categories, or relationships where you don’t care what gender configuration you receive

Animal and monster characters are slotted into the gender group. For example, Princess/Dragon under F/F is understood to be a female dragon.

RPF:
Real Person Fiction nominations must be of people famous in their own right -- non-famous spouses or friends of famous people will be rejected. Contemporary RPF nominations must also be of people 18 years or older. We will not accept political RPF nominations.

Other Fandoms

In general, please nominate all fandoms that are in the same universe under one single umbrella. Different versions of the same canon which differ significantly (such as The Witcher) should be nominated separately.

MCU movies: Please nominate these under "Marvel Cinematic Universe"
Star Wars: Please nominate all Star Wars under "Star Wars - All Media Types"
DCEU movies: Please nominate all the DCEU superhero movies under "DC Extended Universe"
DC shows on CW: Please nominate all of the CW DC superhero shows under "DC's Arrowverse"
Final Fantasy VII: Please nominate the FFVII Remake (and all other FFVII IPs) under "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII"
The Witcher: Please nominate these separately (TV, Novels, Video Game)

Quick question, should ships for Stargirl (TV 2020) be nominated under that or under DC's Arrowverse, I don't think it's officially part of the Arrowverse but it is on the CW.
